In the afternoon there were lab-activities, where the teachers chose which lab-activity they would like to attend. Rob Buitenwerf explained how our group uses satellite remote sensing to address biodiversity and ecosystem change. The session also included short demonstrations of terrestrial LiDAR and how Google Earth Engine could be used in classroom exercises. The sessions were very well attended, with >20 teachers.
