A warm welcome to our 5 newest members of Center for Electromicrobiology.

Josephine Ward is a Bachelor student and she will work with the expression and purification of truncated hemoglobin and cytochrome from cable bacteria. Cryo-EM Facility Manager Thomas Boesen is her supervisor.

Henrik Høi Liboriussen is a Bachelor student and he will work on the investigation of primer for cable bacteria by use of PCR, qPCR and DNA-sequencing. Assistant professor Ian Marshall is his supervisor.

Michael Lund is a Bachelor student and he will work on the extraction of long-read genomic sequence for Nanopore sequencing. Assistant professor Ian Marshall is his supervisor.

Sarah Jannie de Roode is a Bachelor student and she will investigate clusters of small bacteria next to and maybe attached to cable bacteria. PhD student Jamie Lustermans and Assistant professor Ian Marshall are her supervisors.

Judith van der Giessen is a Master's student and she will work on testing promising isolates for swarming behaviour around cable bacteria with fluorescence microscopy. Professor Andreas Schramm is her supervisor.

Ugo Marzocchi is a postdoc. He has recently re-joined our center after one year as a postdoc in Italy. For the next two years, he will be part of the BIOMAP project and investigate how to use electroactive bacteria to map contaminated soils.

Welcome to you all!
