I work with pig nutrition with a focus on the needs, digestion, excretion and health aspects of minerals in both conventional and organic production, as well as on identifying and characterizing more sustainable sources of added minerals for animal feed. In addition, I have research activities regarding undesirable substances such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and their uptake, accumulation and tissue distribution in pigs.
I greatly appreciate and take pride in my role as a supervisor and teacher for students and course leader for the 2nd semester subject "Animal Anatomy and Physiology" at the Animal Science program at AU. As a teacher and supervisor, my focus is on commitment and professionalism combined with an optimistic and curious approach to the individual student's abilities and ambitions.
