Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) Core Facility

Department of Biology has access to an essential research and teaching facility, Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting Core Facility (FACS) located in the Skou building. FACS is a state-of-the-art apparatus, which is used to carry out advanced analysis and sorting of cells and particles. Training and teaching in flow cytometry, consultancy support are  provided on location in connection to design testing, setting up of protocols, data processing etc.

FACS has existed for 10 years and is used by approximately 200 researchers from Faculty of Health, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Technical Sciences and some researchers from other universities as well as private businesses.
