Interdisciplinary thematic research centers across the faculties of Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences work purposefully on developing solutions to the global 'Grand Challenges'. The Department of Biology is involved in several of these centers. The centers are an entry point for partners in the industry and business community, both nationally and internationally.
