Research Vessel

AURORA is Aarhus University's new state-of-the-art  multifunctional research vessel,  which will provide new opportunities for Danish research on the sea. The vessel is the first Danish research vessel built for the last 30 years, and it is not only of benefit for the researchers in Aarhus. In fact, all Danish universities have the opportunity to rent the vessel for research expeditions.

AURORA was built at the Danish shipyard ‘Hvide Sande Skibs- & Baadebyggeri’ (HSSB) which has specialised in both high-tech vessels and traditional wooden vessels, and was finished in March 2014.
