My research is framed around conservation ecology and integrates theoretical and methodological approaches from behavioural- and restoration ecology. I am particularly interested in how animal behaviour, social structure, and movement shape ecosystem processes and habitat heterogeneity across human-modified landscapes, both in terrestrial and marine environments. My work focuses on large mammals as drivers of ecological dynamics, combining field-based observations with spatial and functional approaches to better understand their role in biodiversity patterns and ecosystem recovery.
